Oh, in case you didn't know, these are Red Wine transparent in/out.

Here are just my initial impressions :

Fantastic build quality. Great fit but isolation was not good compared to silicone tips, however they still isolate, just not as great as the universal silicone tips that I had last time.

Initial listening with Sansa Fuze alone, bass impact is deep enough for me, more than that would be disturbing (once again, my POV).. vocals are nice and smooth, slight (nearly non-existant warmish tone), highs are good as well... most important point was the details.. it was overflowing with details.. the lingering of breaths, lips moving.. u could literally 'hear' the air of movements if there was strumming of guitar, etc. if your recording was good.

However, there's a faint hissing in the background due to the sensitivity of the Mages, doesn't bother much except during quiet passages. Liking it so far, gonna get some serious testing once I get back to my gear.

Deep, tight, taught bass that I kinda like, with smooth mids and highs to complement.
Not forgetting the details.. well I would like to call it microdetails now. Great microdetails.

These are just initial impressions, but that's how they sound right out of the box, never really a 'burn-in' kinda guy, I don't give a damn if they sound extremely good 1000 hours later, if they don't sound at least appealing to my ears initially they are considered to be crap.
First impressions count, remember?

Will update review later once I get back to my gear in campus.

Here are some other photos :

Initial plan, but Sam said white lettering would be defective so he recommended bright yellow instead. I opted for NO artwork in the end

My ear canals are weird (at least the left one)

And for the Sansa Fuze users (v1), please make sure that you dont push in your headphone jack all the way in, add a rubber washer or a paper washer 'cause mine had the headphone jack 'pop and crackle' problem due to the plug incompatibiliy I guess, scared the **** out of me. Anyone had this problem too?

Details are definitely more than the ER4.. the Mage wins hands down.
Like I said, the details are now.. microdetails, if your recording is good, it reveals everything whether it was intended or not I guess.

Your purple's not bad too though.
