![]() Personally, I have experience with the well known DACs like the Lavry DA10, Benchmark DAC-1 and Bel Canto DAC. This CityPulse DAC is no where left behind either. It doesn't sound as sweet and enjoyable as the Lavry DA10 (Personal Favourite) and it isn't as transparent and dead accurate(Clinical) like the Benchmark DAC-1. The CityPulse DAC has the sweetness and yet gives a very transparent signature to everything. After adding on the CityPulse DAC 7.2x II, my musical experience drastically improved. I no longer hear any background hiss or interferences. The dynamics and Separation of the music has also drastically improved. With the CityPulse DAC, I can now do my remastering and etc at a more enjoyable environment. Not forgetting a better musical experience. ![]() The reason why I chose The 7.2x II and not the DA2.03eII is because of the XLR outputs which I need to go balanced for my Monitoring speakers. (KRK Rokit Powered 5) ![]() The remote looks and feels damn solid. Love it. ![]() Here's the reason why I bought the custom acrylic stand. So that I can fit the CityPulse DAC 7.2x II nicely below. ![]() ![]() In conclusion, This DAC is very worthy of it's price. You can really find no fault for its price is to aesthetic(build quality and looks) and performance ratio. Personal Rating: 8/10 |

You are liking it!!! As far as I remember comparing it a few years back with several pimped Zhaolus(which were all the rage then), the DA7.2x(V1) already smoked them pretty easily...the build is just crazily solid, almost comparable to the PRII. I personally do not have much experience with more expensive DACs, but this is definitely not a piece of gear that will leave you wanting for more anytime soon. I don't use the remote at all, then again, I'm still 'waiting' for a pair of nice speakers which I have been talking about for a long long time... wow, what are you monitoring there? sure looks loud!
