This is the traditional authentic takoyaki you get in Japan. Not any fancy 'ham & cheese' or 'prawn'. True blue octopus filling inside.

What makes it so nice is everything. Crispy on the outside, moist in the inside with a rather decent cut of octopus meat, accompanied with the right amount of okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise and katsuobushi. *orgasmic*

The batter plays the biggest part with very micro cuttings of garnish and carrot within, which brings out the flavour even more. Do correct me if I'm wrong about the ingredients. With a rather generous cutting of octopus meat inside rolled in those semi-circle holders till it is like 80% cooked. They later place it on another holder and added oil to make the outer layer crispy yet keeping the inside moist.

The lady will ask whether you want the okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise and katsuobushi (fish shavings). You can also request for extra!
*thumbs up for the good service*

Many other shops uses very generic okonomiyaki sauce which taste rather sickening, causing the crave for more mayonnaise to cover up the overwhelming taste. But Gindaco's okonomiyaki sauce is superb. It taste light yet with a good smoked taste within. The katsuobushi is also very fine making it very pleasant and good combination with the takoyaki instead of leaving big slices of it around your mouth with a bitter sensation.

Personal Rating: 9.8/10 (It could have gotten a perfect score if the octopus meat ain't that rubbery, perhaps a little softer would be ideal.)

Pouring the batter...

Following by:
- sprinkling the side ingredients
- put the sliced of octopus into the "ice cube makers"
- finish up with a massive sprinkling of spring onions

*roll roll roll roll...*

Add more oil and roll roll roll...till the outer surface is crispy!

Itadakimasu!

This time round, I head there around their opening timing so that I can get to try their freshly-made takoyaki with all the ingredients at their "freshest" moment. 6 pieces may seems a lot but after eating them, I'm pretty sure that everyone still have the crave for more!
