If we're going to be such hardass enforcers of good english in the forum, we should change this sub-forum's name from "Feedbacks" to "Feedback".

The guideline issued to me was to upkeep the proper usage of English, not chickenfeed "good English" on all members. Thats not exactly within the job scope of a Forum Moderator, but rather that of a primary/secondary school English teacher.

The point you brought up is valid and even though it doesn't really require starting a thread here to correct a grammatical mistake, I'm sure the entire Moderating Team would thank you for that, but please watch the tone and language of your posts in future. Its not difficult for one to take your "hardass" comment to be a derogatory remark towards the Moderating Team, if not the entire forum.

I'm sure by now most of you would have realised that we are rather easy going people, so please try not to push things too much. We might seem pretty hardlined on certain issues, but they are just guidelines we have currently adopted which we believe would be conducive for a young forum like this. Things may, or may not change over time, depending on the situation, so do stay tuned. Consider this your initial light warning though.

Thank You,
O.P.

Well then let's make it:

a. hard ass, or
b. hard-ass, or
c. hard arse, or
d. hard-arse

In any case, cushions would probably be good.

LOL...I sincerely admire your sense of humour, AADAMS...I guess in this case the Moderating Team is the cushion? Too hard for a fleshless arse and people complain, too soft and the arse gets into contact with bottom of chair and people also complain...what people fail to realise is that its a free cushion and why are we typical Singaporeans always complaining about whats free after queuing up hours for it ?

If you dont like it, dont queue, dont join, dont bother...

It was a mistake to use the vulgar slang word and I apologise if anyone has taken offence to it. Sorry!

I still think people need to lighten up here. I'm actually kind of shocked to be receiving a (light) warning because of this. Chill out and be happy, man!

That said, I am still impressed by how fast the change has been made. (even though there's still some thorn sticking out somewhere...) :D

It is good to have moderators doing their jobs and all, and who are willing to listen to feedback.

Thanks!

 Nah, it was good fun. No offence taken on my part and yes I agree, no warning should have been issued.

This might interest those who find the feedback/feedbacks topic intriguing. It would appear that while "Feedbacks" is not mainstream English, the word has found acceptance in certain communities or is used in certain regions. Then again, English is a funny language isn't it.

Personally I prefer Feedback.
