Hi Ah Dui,

If I haven't already said what a good job you're doing on the forum, let me say it again.

May I suggest removing the post count totals and 'status' under the user's profile.

This would prevent
1. kiddie spammers who just post 1 liners just to get the a high post count... to some post count = penis length...

2. 'lao jiao' forummers who 'look down' on newbies who have a low post count (I'm not saying this will happen, but it might)

This will also put everyone on equal footing so that one would not be judged by 'newness' or 'oldness'

Yah, getting rid of the post count is a good idea, but leave the custom self-conferred titles. At least we can have some wacky titles for ourselves.

as requested, i've removed the member pip gauge.
as usual, Custom Member titles is only enabled after you've got 100 post.

As for postcounts, i will look into it. (please wait patiently)

I don't see a problem of retaining post counts. Post counts is often used as an indicator to see how "laojiao" you are in the forums, and whether your comments are of a credible standard. Generally, if you have a high post count, your comments take more weight. But of course, it also takes effort to obtain a high post count, and usually this has to be done in a sensible manner. Dedication towards the community is most likely the only way to hit higher post counts. If there is a sudden surge of "one" liners from certain users, they can be warned/banned/have their posts removed etc.

Why dun we have a rating system instead ? Ratings are determined by either the admins or the other members .. Ratings will be based on how good their posts are or similar...

I second that idea. It will aid in our Classified section too. Instead of giving feedback everytime a successful trade/deal is done, the parties involved can give each other ratings. But I am not so sure if invisionfree has this type of add-on.

there is a gaming forum here in singapore called the gaming net, they awrd their members by a system scheme of bo liao dollar, great idea too in my opinion. the amount they are awarded are based on their length and such.

and posting in the classifieds REDUCE your bo liao dollar, so we all can see who uses the forum ONLY for selling and buying stuff.........

so theres no point in posting one liners, as they wont get you much bo liao$$, instead people with less but longer post will get more.

the bo liao $$ can also be used for buying their lottery tickets, in which the members can win games and such. and it was always used to give discounts to the members for their t-shirt.

rather good an idea, was VERY impressed by it, you guys can check it out eh?
