i'll kick start.

My current bike is a Giant Rincon 2004, used to own several cheapo urata bikes.

I do a little of offroads but mainly long distance biking around Singapore during the wee hours last time. Didn't choose a roadie because it was too fragile for a rough rider like me.

now i hardly touches my bike, maybe once a while when my friends ask me out for supper.

I've got a Trek 4500 hardtail, brilliant red fade to gold paintwork which is the only good bit about it. Got it way back in 1999 I think. Drivetrain is a mixed bag of Deore brake/shifter combo, LX brakes, XT drivetrain, 27 speed. Got into this hobby when I was in secondary, so upgraded the parts when I could afford it. Other then a creak here and then, its still running strong. Needs some lighter rims though...

There used to be a a time when I went around the east side quite frequently with this. Most fun experiences were cycling to ubin to cycle, and also togoparts round island challange...Now that my kahkis are as busy as I am, its in deep storage :o ...

All those parts names, I must have forgotten half of them... Haha, anyway, I think the proper meaning of endo is end-over-end. That is, falling over your handlebars. Think I saw that in some MTB mag dictionary or sth. Maybe the local terms have another meaning...

Poor kenshin...
I think he'll need a beefy, macho sorta bike, like Azonic or Kona... with a double crown downhill fork. A strida will probably collapse under him. Hahaha... though that may change once he's out of NS.
Hey, get well soon man!

Calling team TREK! Doesn't anyone own a Trek anymore?
Ah, what the hell, mine's probably half rusted already anyway.

Hey bike lovers,

I just wanna ask where to get bikes in Singapore? I'm not local so I'm having a bit of problems finding them. Also, what kind of bikes is best suited for both normal riding and trail riding (moderate, not steep or bumpy kind, just need some suspension)?

It'll be greatly appreciated if I could get some help. Thanks

The following are the listing of bike shop in Singapore.
http://www.togoparts.com/bikeshops/list_shops.php
Usually I go to Hup Leong and Rodalink which I find their services reliable and friendly.

A hard-tail MTB should be comfortable enough for the kind of riding that you intend to do. There are various makes and models that will suit your budget needs.

Or maybe a short-travel softtail MTB? A bit more comfortable. Or a hardtail with a suspension post...
