How to prevent my go-vibe v5 from reacting with the RF? In a cheap and nice way... no warping etc.

it's not always the case with the IC's, recently Scanfiend did a comparison and it has been proven that amps that are enclosed in Metal casings are less prone to RF interference and amps like pa2v2 , go-vibe etc. are more prone to RF. A possible but not so practical way is to move the innards of the Go-vibe to a metal enclosure.

What member?
|
from my personal experience, RF can be picked up by both amps and IC. In fact sometimes even from the DAP straight out to the IEM. What I recommend is to check with other GV5 users and see if they experience similiar interference, and try to isolate the problem step by step... |

ScanFiend and I are both using the Go-Vibe, occasionally RF could be picked up, however when ScanFiend switched over to his portaphile, he said that RF interference was almost non existent. |

I most certainly can confirm the Go-Vibe is susceptible to RF interference. Damned irritating, especially on the train. It seems the whole train is filled with people with handphones (and probably so, seeing that Singapore's handphone penetration is above 100%
)I read that the Xenos REP, despite its plastic exterior, supposedly has its PCB enclosed in a metal frame internally to minimise RF interference. Well, I can also tell you it's less than successful

Some op-amps chips are more resistant to RF interference than others. For that, you'll have to check the spec sheet of the chip. BTW, is there the manufacturer's page for the crossroad amp? |

Shielding shielding
Solder wiring on the L and R output channel wires to a strip of copper shield to act as a shield from interference signals. At least that's how it was done in my PINT by the DIYer I refered to to eliminate RF

I am using Go-Vibe v5 and the Inter Connector is the Mamba - D. Btw, is there any more inter connector that is same as mamba - d or better? mamba - d is not very flexible. |

I think Mamba-D flexibility is moderate. Run-in for flexibility by exercising the cable. Anyway, I have seen much stiffer Interconnects. HAHA!! The lighting probe! |

Definitely! compared to the lightning probe the mamba is so much more flexible! But on a more serious note the mamba's flexibility is already considered good. |

The lightning probe is super stiff mainly because the sheiding is really solid and it is a very well-constructed cable. Which is also why it sounds so smooth too. |

I'm not sure whether the owner wants to show the photograph of it. In case you wonder how stiff that is : You might want to use tapes to bend the cable in shape. But I can say it is worth the effort for the sound. =) |

It depends, I have not tried it with the Go-Vibe. It sounds great with the Portaphile. You really have to audition it with your amp and your source to find out. Think it is best if you finalise your source first before testing out other cables at this point of time. |
